We believe that to raise the best puppies it all begins with early decisions - while health testing is undeniably important to ensure the physical well-being of our puppies, we also understand that the parents temperament plays a significant role in the overall happiness and compatibility with their future families.
In Golden Valley we carefully select parent dogs based on a combination of health testing, genetic considerations, and temperament. Our goal is to produce puppies that are not only physically healthy but also possess ideal temperaments for a family life.
SOCIALIZED & CONFIDENT PUPPIES
Our carefully crafted socialization program ensures that our puppies are exposed to a variety of positive experiences, including different sights, sounds, and interactions from an early age. This intentional approach helps them develop into well-adjusted companions who are comfortable and confident in various situations. We believe that a socially adept puppy not only forms strong bonds with their human family but also interacts positively with the world around them. A glimpse into our approach:
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) - Our puppies undergo a series of gentle and purposeful exercises designed to stimulate their neurological system during the first few weeks of life. These exercises include activities like early handling, mild stressors, and specific touches. The purpose of ENS is to enhance neural development, promote stress resilience, and create a foundation for improved overall health.
Early Scent Introduction (ESI) - Introducing puppies to a variety of scents at an early age is a key component of our breeding program. We expose them to different smells, such as familiar scents from the household and outdoor environments. This exposure helps puppies develop a well-rounded olfactory system, contributing to improved scent detection abilities. Additionally, it aids in familiarizing them with various environments, making transitions to new homes smoother.
Introduction to crates - We take a positive and gentle approach to familiarize our puppies to crates, ensuring that they associate it with only positive experiences. This positive reinforcement helps create a positive association with the crate, making it a comforting and enjoyable space for our puppies.
Everyday care - we are dedicated to ensure our puppies are well-prepared for the routine care they will experience throughout their lives. As part of our commitment to their well-being, we introduce our puppies to various typical procedures from an early age:
∙ ear and mouth checks,
∙ brushing and grooming,
∙ nail trimming,
∙ daily weighting,
∙ handling and touching from head to tail.
VACCINATED, MICRO-CHIPPED, DE-WORMED & FLEA TREATED
∙ Before our puppies embark on the journey to their new homes, they undergo a thorough health examination of their overall health by our trusted veterinatian ensuring they are in optimal health. All of our puppies come with the assurance of a clean bill of health.
∙ Each puppy comes with a vaccination book and their first essential vaccinations offering protection against common canine illnesses ensuring a strong foundation for a healthy and thriving future.
NOTE: To ensure the successful completion of the vaccination course and provide full protection, the second vaccination must be completed by the new family within 2-3 weeks after the initial vaccination.
∙ Our puppies come micro-chipped, a tiny but invaluable identification that offers a lifetime of reassurance. Each puppy receives a booklet containing information on how to update and personalize the microchip details, ensuring that the connection between the new family and puppy remains secure throughout their lifetime.
∙ Puppies are regularly de-wormed at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age with "Panacur Liquid Warmer", and flea treated at 8 weeks of age & covered for 4 weeks with "Frontline Plus Flea & Tick Treatment".
PUPPY PACK & DOCUMENTATION FOLDER
Each of our puppies comes with a personalized puppy pack crafted with care. This thoughtful bundle includes a scented blanket, engaging chewing toys, a plushy comforting toy, convenient poo bags, a reusable wee matt, puppy wet wipes, travel water bottle and a selection of other goodies. It's our way of ensuring that each of our precious puppies feels welcomed and cherished from the very beginning.
In addition to the personalized puppy pack, each of our puppies will also receive a personalized document folder. This folder is designed to keep all essential puppy documentation organized in one place, including:
∙ birth certificate,
∙ Kennel Club change of ownership certificate,
∙ Kennel Club insurance,
∙ vaccination & microchip booklets,
∙ contract of sale,
∙ information folder on further socialization, toilet training, exercise, grooming, diet, how to puppy proof home, poisons to watch out for, breed specific information, etc.

ROUND-THE-CLOCK MONITORING
At Golden Valley, we prioritize the well-being of our precious puppies, ensuring they receive unparalleled care until they are ready to join their new families at 8 weeks of age. Throughout this crucial period, I am devotedly present with them around the clock, 7 days a week providing constant attention, care, and love.
Our in-person visit policy
We cannot stress enough that the well-being, health and safety of our puppies are of utmost importance for us. To ensure the optimal development and well-being of our precious puppies during their crucial early weeks, we have implemented a policy that in-person visits are only scheduled when the puppies reach a minimum age of 4 weeks.
Why wait until 4 weeks?
This waiting period serves a dual purpose.
Puppies, like human infants, have developing immune systems that are not fully matured in their early weeks. To minimize potential risks and provide a secure environment for their growth, we choose to delay in-person visits. This precaution is taken to safeguard their fragile immune health and reduce the likelihood of unnecessary exposure to external factors. We aim to strike a balance between fostering socialization and protecting our puppies health.
Secondly, creating a stress-free atmosphere is essential for our dog moms. Moms play a vital role in nurturing and caring for their little ones during their early weeks. To allow them to fulfill this role with comfort and tranquility, we choose to minimize disruptions in the environment. By providing a calm and disruption-free environment, we foster a setting that promotes bonding, maternal care, and the overall well-being of both our loving moms and their precious little ones.

Prior to in-person visits, we are delighted to offer a video calls to introduce families to our dog moms and their puppies, ensuring a personalized and risk-free introduction to your future furry family member.
